Abstract

This article examines the relationship between emotional intelligence and coping behavior in teachers, with an emphasis on gender aspects and the contribution of female researchers to educational psychology. Based on empirical research conducted as part of a master's thesis, this article analyzes data from 50 teachers (predominantly women) demonstrating a positive correlation between high levels of emotional intelligence and adaptive coping strategies. The novelty of this work lies in its integration of a gender perspective, taking into account the challenges faced by women in teaching and research, such as balancing professional workload and family responsibilities. Drawing on O. G. Mitrofanova's work on emotional competence in professional work, the article highlights the role of women in the development of psychology, timed to coincide with the International Day of Women and Girls in Science (February 11). The results offer recommendations for programs to support women's leadership in education.
