The article provides a comparative analysis of the typological features of the Uzbek and Turkish languages at the phonetic, morphological, syntactic and lexical levels and discusses the significance of these differences and similarities in creating a parallel Uzbek-Turkish corpus. Although both languages have a common Turkic root, differences in the phonetic system, morphological system, syntactic system and lexical system require special consideration when creating a corpus. The results of the study are of practical importance for machine translation, bilingual electronic dictionaries and linguostatistical analyses.
