This thesis scientifically investigates the issue of improving the assessment system based on a competency-based approach in teaching pharmacology. The aim of the study is to develop modern assessment tools for objectively measuring clinical pharmacological competencies of students in higher medical education institutions. Practice-based assessment methods and structured clinical examination methods are analyzed, and their impact on student readiness is substantiated through empirical data. The results indicate the need to redesign the assessment system
