HISTORY AND FORMING GLOBAL COMPETENCES: DIGITAL AND INNOVATIVE METHODS

This article analyzes the role of scientific research and pedagogical innovations in modern teaching of history based on the experience of international education systems. In particular, approaches such as historical problem-setting, inquiry-based learning, case analysis, discussion technology, digital history, conceptual history, and virtual historical environments are considered on the example of Cambridge and CIS international schools. The results of the study show that history lessons organized on the basis of modern methods develop students' critical thinking, historical analysis, scientific research, and global citizenship competencies, as well as help them understand historical events from a multifaceted perspective.
