Abstract

This article provides a comparative analysis of the similarities and differences between the legends of the Uzbek and English peoples. The study examines the historical foundations, religious influence, hero images, moral and educational content, and oral traditions of the legends of both peoples. It also highlights the role of legends in the formation of national identity and the importance of preserving cultural memory. The analysis demonstrates that although Uzbek and English legends differ in religious, social, and historical contexts, they are united by common values: heroism, justice, and morality.
