This thesis analyzes the role and importance of modern technologies in the development of the process of speech development from a scientific, theoretical and practical point of view. The process of speech development is highlighted as an important pedagogical process that shapes the thinking, culture of communication and social activity of a person. The author substantiates the mutual compatibility of communicative, competency-based, person-oriented and innovative approaches to speech development, as well as the effective use of digital technologies - multimedia, online platforms, artificial intelligence and virtual reality tools.
