PRAGMATIC PARAMETERS OF A SCIENTIFIC TEXT IN THE CONTEXT OF FUNCTIONAL-STYLISTIC AND GENRE DIFFERENTIATION

The article analyzes pragmatic parameters of scientific text in relation to the categories of context, modality, speech subject and communicative intention. It is argued that pragmatic factors play a crucial role in the functional-stylistic and genre differentiation of scientific discourse. The study demonstrates that genre functions as a cognitive-pragmatic form of functional style realization, ensuring the specification of communicative intent and the regulation of authorial position. Special attention is paid to the correlation between objective and subjective modality and to hypotheticity as a genre-forming characteristic of scientific text.References
